And He appeared pt.2

Abraham was very quick to do what God told him to do and also quick to do good deeds.
He was told to leave his father's house and he did. (Genesis 12)
He gave up his right to choose the good-looking land and let Lot take it when the possessions grew too big. (Gen 13)
He got up and departed to rescue Lot after he heard that Lot was captured. (Gen 14)
He let go of Hagar and Ishmael when Sarah was not happy. (Gen 16)
He circumcised himself and his household soon after God told him. (Gen 17)
He was willing to to sacrifice his only son ( he left the next day). (Gen 22)

Like I wrote the other day, he also ran and hurried to serve the three men who came to his tent.

Waiting for God's timing is important because God does have his timing and it cannot be produced by human efforts. (Galatians 4:23) Other times, when God tells us to move, or the decision comes out of pure heart and love, may I be quick to do what God wants me to do. This is one of my directions this year.

? When Abraham was told to sacrifice Isaac, they left together. Isaac asked where the lamb was for the offering. Yet when God provided an animal for the offering, it was a ram. Silly question, but I thought, 'Is it okay?' ( Obviously, it is.)

FB Meyer said that the answer to Isaac's question is in John 1:29.

I remember 'Jehova-jireh' means 'my provider' from a song I used to listen.
Again, I don't know the grammar, but the part 'jireh' also means 'see'. The KJV translates this word in Genesis 22:14 as 'see', It is a bit confusing.

Then the Bible tells us about Nahor, Abraham's brother.who now has 12 sons.

Nahor means 'snorting'. Fits his image?
